Photovoltaic Solar Energy

Photovoltaic solar energy has become the third most important source of renewable energy in terms of installed capacity globally, it does not emit any type of pollution during its operation, helping to avoid the emission of greenhouse gases.

It is composed of solar cells that are traditionally made of silicon, generally flat plate, these are in constant evolution since their technological development seeks to increase their efficiency in order to provide more energy in the smallest possible space and also maintain or increase their duration.

They began to be mass produced in 2000 and due to the growing demand for renewable energy, photovoltaic installations have advanced considerably in recent years and thanks to technological advances, sophistication and economies of scale, a great increase in their efficiency and a considerable reduction in their cost, making them a very accessible option for homes, businesses and industries of all types and sizes.

In the same way, this energy source has been adapted in different important applications for technological development starting with space engineering as well as artifacts and devices of common use, also always in search of sufficient efficiency to achieve good performance in more sophisticated devices such as for example electric vehicles.
